New Year’s Resolution Ideas
We do it every year. We decide that this, finally, will be the year we start _______. Whether or not we stick to them, New Year’s resolutions are a tradition, so we’ve come up with a list of ideas to inspire your 2018.
- Get a minimum of _ hours of sleep per night. One big mistake people make is jumping way out of their normal routine to fit in a new resolution. It is important to build slowly so that you are able to adjust to a new routine instead of diving in head-first. So pick a number of hours each night that seems reasonable to you. Maybe it’s an extra hour. Maybe it’s going to bed half an hour earlier. Then grow on that.
- Only eat _ grams of sugar per day. Setting specific goals makes it easier to know whether you were successful or not. Saying “eat less sugar” is too vague and makes it really easy to make excuses.
- Meditate once a day. Adding meditation to your routine can be very easy. There are programs that take just five minutes a day that you can fit in on your lunch time, after work or walking to your car. And it is so good for your busy mind!
