3 Ways To Hit The “Pause” Button and Enjoy Life
Daily Cup of Yoga suggests that we learn to slow down, breathe, and stop to smell the roses once in a while. Sometimes life feels as though it is moving too fast; rushing from one thing to the next.
Here are three ways we can empower ourselves while putting the stresses of everyday life on hold:
Meditate at least once a day
There are many proven benefits through mediation. It helps from alleviating anxiety to improving creativity. Essentially, we are giving ourselves a needed “time out” when meditating. Set aside 10, 15, even 25 minutes to focus on yourself. Use meditation as an opportunity to unplug from the world and re-center your mind.
Plan periods of rest
It is important to let your body take a break and relax. Learn to schedule in rest time, or simply do something that you love. Spend time painting, cooking, or going for a long walk. Your body and mind will thank you later!
Remember that not everything needs to be productive
Hey, did you know that you don’t have to be busy 24/7? Rest is not just important, it is necessary! It is okay that not everything you have planned to do is a productive action. Make sure that you are having a nice time and experiencing life’s moments. You’ll suddenly begin to feel more chilled!
